The Air Fayre facility commenced operations in November 2008 serving United Airlines' flights from its Los Angeles hub. The patented business model differs from the traditional airline catering kitchen model by offering its clients an award winning supply chain assembly solution. In addition, it offers a complete chill chain cycle from supplier to aircraft in which specialist suppliers are identified. The components parts are assembled within a chilled and secure environment and then delivered via refrigerated trucks. This provides clients with more choice whilst exceeding Food Safety and Food Development Agency requirements in full compliance with the food safety code in the USA.
